A University Research Laboratory in Management Science , Specialised in Logistics

Since its creation in 1973, CRET-LOG has concentrated on applied, academic research, firstly in transport economics and then in company management.

Intent on developing Management Science research, the laboratory team soon concentrated on logistics, a speciality emerging in France as the reference in the domain.

The high level of productivity of the scientific team in its innovative research work, together with numerous professional exchanges with industrial companies and organisations, and the laboratory’s collaboration with national, international, public and professional networks, have all strongly contributed to the reputation of Management Science .

Since 2000, Logistics has furthermore been recognised as a speciality option in the “Concours d’Agrégation du Supérieur”.

The CRET-LOGresearch team is made up of over 40 researchers or teacher-researchers and as many PhD’s whose aim is to produce, exchange and transmit scientific know-how through three types of activity : research, higher education and analysis or expertise on behalf of private or public partners.

Research training is a global approach at the heart of the LMD system.

Research is carried out in six directions:

• Information systems and organisation management;
• Logistics and environment;
• Socio-economy of transport and planning.
